Hatha Flow Yoga
Classes incorporate physical postures (asanas), breath work (pranayama) and relaxation techniques to strengthen and stretch the body while focus is placed on grounded body and calm mind.  Variations in styles and approaches explore hatha flow sequencing based on level of class and individual style of teacher.  Choose a class / level suitable to support your needs and intention of practice.
Restorative / Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga combined with supported restorative postures shifts the intention of practice on a physical, psychological and energetic level.  Physcially, supported and unsupported postures are combined and held for longer durations (2 to 5 mins) to encourage length and release on a deeper level.  Psychologically, our resistance to being present in our postures is challenged due to the longer duration and time spent in postures with focus on breath.  Energetically, postures are combined to pressurize and stretch meridian lines within the body, releasing energy blocks and allowing us to work towards more balance for body, mind and emotional state.  Suitable for all levels.
Yoga For Fitness
A physically focused approach to yoga, incorporating breathing techniques and connection to core stabilizing muscles through the use of yoga asanas, specifically posture flow sequencing, combined with pilates focus on core strengthening.  The use of various props and light weights increase the physicality of the class.  Not recommended for absolute beginners. Use your discretion based on your current physcial ability.
Pilates
Incorporating the basics and moving into more advanced pilates exercises.  Pilates Foundations is suitable for absolute beginners and for anyone who wants to rebuild the foundation of a pilates practice.  Level 1 classes are suitable for beginners and focus primarily on mat work.  Level 2 classes incorporate weights and props to increase physicality of the exercises while encouraging more connection and awareness to smaller, deeper, core stabilizing muscle groups.  Choose a level appropriate for your experience and current level of fitness.
Zumba
Zumba is a fun fusion of Latin & international music that creates a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system.  Basic steps and simple combinations of Latin & international dance are interwoven with fitness elements to create a fun & energetic workout.  A great way to incorporate more cardiovascular work into your current fitness routine.  (classes to be announced in February, 2012)
